Sep 22 | Trip report: Ladies on the Lower G 2011
With the cool feeling of fall and the sound of laughter among the rushing water, it was a perfect atmosphere for kayaking the Lower Gauley and AT was happy to be there.
Ladies on the Lower G, presented by Girls at Play (GAP) as a fundraiser for American Whitewater, raised over $300 with this successful event.
Anna Levesque, owner of GAP, led the group with a stretching session and fun icebreaker exercise to start the morning off right. While on the river she talked to the group before each major rapid about what line to take for every skill level.

There were a few swims and a few combat rolls that made the journey down river even more exciting. Twelve lady kayakers joined by one passion, bonded on the river through both encouragement and play.
Congratulations to the raffle winner, Angie Parcell, the owner of our F-Core series AT Flexi!
Check out the album that professional photographer, Scott Martin, so generously shot of our glorious day on the water.
Happy paddling!
