Gauley Fest Summersville, WV

starts: Sep 16, 2011

ends: Sep 18, 2011

Gauley Fest just keeps getting bigger and better! Started in 1983, Gauley Fest has grown to become the largest river festival in the world. The festival is a showcase for American Whitewater and the top whitewater vendors in the boating community. Gauley Fest is also AW's largest fundraising event. All proceeds from the festival support American Whitewater's conservation and access works throughout the nation.

The festival will feature live entertainment, a whitewater marketplace, raffle, and a silent auction where you can pick up some awesome outdoor gear. Check it out for a weekend of great paddling, exciting camaraderie, live entertainment, killer boat raffles, and the infamous silent auction.

Check the website for more details.

Proud to be a part of Ladies on the Lower G

Calling all lady kayakers!  Join us and Girls at Play at Ladies on the Lower G on Friday, Sept. 16!

Adventure Technology is proud to sponsor this year’s Ladies on the Lower G fundraiser for American Whitewater.  Ladies on the Lower G is a lady’s only paddle trip on the Lower Gauley River.  Come on out for some girl time before heading to Gauley Fest for the party.  This event, along with the Gauley Ladies on the Lower GFestival, is an awesome opportunity to give back to an organization that continually works for river access and strives for conservation.

All attendees who sign up for Ladies on the Lower G will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win an AT Eddy paddle from the AT F-core series.  Entries for this raffle are limited to the Ladies on the Lower G attendees and will be drawn that afternoon. We will also have our whitewater paddle line available for the women to demo while paddling the beautiful stretch of river.

The trip leaders and safety boaters will include accomplished paddler and women's Green Race record holder, Adriene Levknecht, Girls at Play ambassador, Mary Frances Hansford and more.

For $40, all proceeds go to American Whitewater, and you’ll make memories to last a lifetime.

AT is excited to be part of this event and hopes to see all you lady kayakers on the Lower Gauley. To get signed up or to learn more about Ladies on the Lower G, click here.
