I've paddled for 12 years now and I'm 20 years old. I began kayaking in St Pierre de Boeuf, a small village close to Lyon where I'm from. After a couple of years of slalom practice, i began freestyle at 13. I had been selected for the french team for the first time at 14, but i was so small that it was hard to compete with the other juniors! I did some eurocups and my first worlds (pre-worlds in fact) in Graz at 14. For my last year as a junior, i was 8th in Australia at the worlds. I began to train harsher when i entered into the senior category, and then succeeded to be european champion for my first year as a senior (last year in Nottingham). It motivated me a lot and i continued in this way to be 4th at the last worlds on minibus. That was the best competition I've ever participated in, it took so mush pressure to compete on that awesome wave!
I think that what makes me a good freestyle paddler is the fact that i make a lot of different sports a part of my training (gymnastic, trampoline, climbing, biking...), and Lyon is for sure one of the best places to live to train.
I've lived in Lyon for 4 years, and I really don't want to leave this town, i found here the setting of life i was searching for. The wave is always in, it's in town so i can go to the university, then paddle after the study-day.  I study economic and social administration.
